The Baltic Bulldog boys traveled to Volga for a game against the Sioux Valley Cossacks on Friday, December 20th. Sioux Valley rallied in the second half for a 62-55 victory.
The Bulldogs started the game on a 5-0 run that helped them to a 14-11 lead by the end of the first quarter. Baltic extended the lead to 24-15 with about 3:30 left to play in the second quarter. Sioux Valley went on a 13-4 run to tie the game 28-28, but Baltic got the final two points of the half for a 30-28 lead.
Sioux Valley’s run continued into the second half. The Cossacks outscored Baltic 18-9 in the third quarter for a 46-39 lead going into the fourth quarter. Baltic pulled within five points, 51-46, with about 3:30 left in the game. The Cossacks were able to hold off any further rally by Baltic for the win.
Ben Erickson finished with 17 points and seven rebounds. Kellen Artz had 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Cooper Garry added 15 points. Trevor Cuperus ended with six points and six rebounds.
