The Baltic Bulldogs drew the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers as an opponent in the SoDak 16 on Tuesday, November 12th at West Central High School. The Chargers won in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-20, and 25-19.
Sioux Falls Christian opened the first set with a 3-2 lead. They slowly grew the lead to 11-5 and then to 18-10. The Chargers would push the lead to 10 points, 21-11. Both teams would score four points each for a 25-15 Charger win.
The Bulldogs started the second set with a 3-2 lead. Baltic continued to lead to an 8-6 score. Sioux Falls Christian tied the score 10-10. The Chargers then went in front 14-12. Sioux Falls Christian extended the lead to 20-15, but Baltic cut the lead to 20-18. The Chargers scored the next four points to lead 24-18 before winning 25-20.
After a 2-2 tie to start the third set, the Chargers took a 6-3 lead. They picked up momentum and extended the lead to 11-7, then to 15-8. Sioux Falls Christian built an 18-10 lead. The Bulldogs got within five points, 21-16, but the Chargers won the set, and match, 25-19.
Baltic finished the 2024 season with a 24-4 overall record.
