The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team ran their winning streak to seven with a straight set win at home over the McCook Central/Montrose Cougars on Monday, October 7th.
In each of the three sets, Baltic pulled away about the midway point. The Cougars led 3-2 to start the first set. Baltic took a 5-4 lead and then the score was tied 7-7. From there the Bulldogs went on an 11-3 run for an 18-10 lead. They would finish the set with a 7-4 run for a 25-14 win.
McCook Central/Montrose started the second set with an early 2-1 lead. Baltic took the lead 4-3 and then scored the next five points for a 9-3 advantage. The Cougars got within three points, 12-9, but the Bulldogs extended their lead to 20-12 before winning 25-15.
Baltic was able to start the third set with a 5-2 run. The Cougars were within five points, 11-6, but Baltic went on a 6-1 run for a 20-7 lead. The Bulldogs finished the set, and match, with a 25-13 win.
