River Dawgs Drop Two in North District Play

The Baltic River Dawgs dropped two games at the North District Tournament in Aberdeen on Saturday, August 3rd.

In the first game of the day, Circus scored five runs in the later inning to take an 8-6 victory.  Circus scored first to take a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.  Baltic scored three times in the top of the third to take a 3-1 lead.  Circus got a run in the bottom of the third and another in the fourth to tie the game 3-3.  The River Dawgs regained the lead, 4-3, with a run in the top of the fifth.  The Circus scored two times in the sixth to go back in front 5-4.  Baltic tied the game 5-5 in the top of the seventh only to see Circus regain the lead 7-5 in the bottom of the inning.  They added another run in the eighth.  Baltic got one more run in the top of the ninth.

Beau Keith had four hits, one a double, and two RBIs.  Ray Williams III had three hits and an RBI.  Ty Schafer finished with a single, double, and triple.  Tristian Fitzsimmons had two singles.  Riley Schultz, Jon Wilhelmsen, and Myles Rees all had one hit each.

Brewers 13, River Dawgs 0

In their second game of the day, Baltic was held to just two hits.  The Brewers took the lead 4-0 in the bottom of the first.  They added a run in the second and five more in the third for a 10-0 lead.  The Brewers would score three more times in the bottom of the sixth.

Rees had a double in the game, and Schafer added a single.
