River Dawgs Winless in Last Two Games

The Baltic River Dawgs dropped their last two games, one on Friday, June 28th and the other on Sunday, June 30th.

Renner Monarchs 9, River Dawgs 7

The Monarchs scored nine straight runs to start the game and then held off the River Dawgs.  Baltic scored a run in the top of the first for an early 1-0 lead.  Renner scored two times in the bottom of the first, and then added four runs in the second, two in the third, and one more in the fourth for a 9-1 lead.  The River Dawgs had a six-run fifth inning, but the rest of the games the teams remained scoreless.

Jon Wilhelmsen had two hits and an RBI.  Beau Keith finished with a double and two RBIs.  Jackson Boe and Noah Swartwout both had a single and an RBI each.  Carter Sorenson and Noah Hammond each had a single.

SF Brewers 13, River Dawgs 4

A big seventh inning helped the Brewers to a 13-4 win on Sunday.  The Brewers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.  Baltic tied the game with a run in the second.  Sioux Falls regained the lead with a run in the third and then added three more in the fourth for a 5-1 lead.  The River Dawgs pulled within a run, 5-4, with three runs in the top of the sixth.  The Brewers put the game away with eight runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Riley Schultz had three hits, including a double, and an RBI.  Hammond had two hits and an RBI.  Dalton Garbers added a double and an RBI.  Tristian Fitzsimmons finished with two singles.  Ty Schafer had a double.  Wilhelmsen and Ray Williams III both had one hit each.
