A six-run third inning helped Madison Maroon to a 9-3 win over Baltic on Monday, June 24th.
After a scoreless first inning, Madison scored a run in the bottom of the second. Madison extended the lead to 7-0 after their six-run third inning. Baltic cut the lead to 7-2 with two runs in the top of the fourth. Madison got a run back in the bottom of the fifth, and then both teams scored a run in the sixth inning.
J Goehring finished with three singles. B Allen had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. I Oakley also had two hits and an RBI. Allen pitched three innings and allowed seven earned runs on six hits and two walks with a strikeout. J Grunewaldt also pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
