The Baltic Bulldog track team started the 2024 season at the Dan Lennon meet in Vermillion on Tuesday, March 19th.
Daynica Witzel had a top ten finish, placing ninth, in the long jump and then placed 12th in the triple jump. Hailey Tiahrt finished 11th in the 400m dash and 800m run. The 1600m sprint medley relay team of D. Witzel, Tenley Witzel, H. Tiahrt, and Sadey Holt placed 11th. Maiya Fredrickson took 12th in the shot put. Holt was 13th in the 800m run. T. Witzel took 14th in the 800m run. Elizabeth Hockenberry placed 14th in the 3200m run and was 15th in the 1600m run.
Shae Fiala placed fifth in the 400m dash with a time of :54.68. The boys 1600m sprint medley relay team of Jackson Westerbur, Payton Anderson, Fiala, and Alex Langner finished eighth. The 4x200m relay team of Westerbur, Fiala, Dylan Runestad, and Anderson also finished eighth. Kellen Artz placed ninth in the high jump.
