Fliers Get Hot in Fourth Quarter in Win over Baltic Boys

A fourth quarter surge by the Flandreau Fliers gave them a 62-52 win over the Baltic Bulldogs on Tuesday, February 13th.  The loss ended a four-game winning streak for the Bulldogs.

Flandreau started the game shooting well and took a 16-10 lead into the second quarter.  The Bulldogs defense then held the Fliers to just eight points in the second quarter while scoring 15 points of their own for a 25-24 lead at halftime.  Baltic continued to build on their lead to start the second half.  They outscored Flandreau 16-9 in the third quarter for a 41-33 lead.  That’s when Flandreau got hot.  The Fliers started the fourth quarter on an 11-0 run to take a 44-41 lead with 5:00 to play.  They ultimately scored 29 points in the fourth quarter alone to earn the come-from-behind win.

Trevor Cuperus had 11 points and six rebounds.  Jack Erickson finished with 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Mark Ditter had nine points, six rebounds, and two assists.  Kellen Artz added eight points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots.
