First Quarter Run Key to Colman-Egan Win over Baltic Girls

A big first quarter run helped the Colman-Egan Hawks defeated the Baltic Bulldogs 56-31 on Monday, February 5th.

The Hawks outscored the Bulldogs 27-4 in the opening quarter, which set them up for victory.  The lead grew in the second quarter, but only by three points.  Colman-Egan led 40-14 at halftime.  Baltic trailed 50-23 going into the final quarter.  The Bulldogs outscored Colman-Egan 8-6 in the final quarter.

The Bulldogs shot 33% (12-36) from the field, 25% (3-12) from the three-point line, and 57% (4-7) from the free-throw line.  Colman-Egan finished the game shooting 34% (18-53) overall, 25% (9-36) on three-point shots, and 65% (11-17) from the free-throw line.

Bayle Breece had 11 points and eight rebounds.  Caitlyn Pickett finished with seven points and five rebounds.  Meredith Larson added six points and two rebounds.  Harper Kortemeyer had three points and three rebounds.
