The Baltic Bulldog boys got back into the win column with a 78-54 win over the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars on Tuesday, January 23rd.
The Bulldogs used strong second and third quarters to pull away for the win. After a 16-16 tie at the end of the first quarter, Baltic outscored the Fighting Cougars 24-12 in the second quarter for a 40-28 halftime lead. They were able to extended the lead to 62-39 after another strong third quarter.
Baltic shot 46% (29-63) overall in the game, 32% (7-22) from three-point area, and 65% (13-20) from the free-throw line. The Fighting Cougars shot 36% (21-59) overall, 32% (7-22) on three-point shots, and 63% (5-8) from the free-throw line.
Jack Erickson had a game-high 35 points with seven rebounds and three steals. Kellen Artz finished with 14 points and five rebounds. Mark Ditter added 11 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Blake Hookie had seven points, six rebounds, and two rebounds.
