The Baltic Bulldog boys basketball team opened their 2023-2024 season on the road in Beresford on Friday, December 8th. The Bulldogs cruised to a 74-38 season-opening victory.
Baltic led 26-6 at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs increased their lead to 40-15 by halftime. The offense kept rolling for Baltic as they led 61-26 going into the final quarter.
Baltic shot 55% (30-55) overall, 39% (11-28) from three-point area, and 3-6 from the free-throw line. Beresford shot 29% (13-45) from the field overall, 36% (8-22) from three-point area, and 33% (4-12) from the free-throw line.
Jack Erickson had the hot hand finishing with 34 points and five rebounds. Blake Hookie added 11 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Mark Ditter had 10 points, three rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Beau Breece finished with nine points and five assists. Kellen Artz added five points and eight rebounds.
