The Baltic Bulldogs hosted the Deubrook Area Dolphins for their final regular season game of the year on Tuesday, October 24th. The Bulldogs won in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-13.
After the first set started with a 3-3 tie, the Bulldogs went on an 8-1 run for an 11-4 lead. They pushed that lead to 22-12. The Dolphins went on a 5-0 run to cut the lead in half 22-17, but the Bulldogs won the set 25-20.
Baltic started the second set with a slim 5-3 lead and slowly extended their lead to 20-9. Deubrook Area made another run and cut the deficit to 22-16. The Bulldogs ended the rally with three straight points to win 25-16.
The third set started with a Bulldog 6-3 lead. Baltic again built a big lead at 17-9. This time the Dolphins were not able to mount a comeback. The Bulldogs led 22-13 before winning the third set 25-13.
Baltic finished the 2023 regular season with a 20-5 record. The Bulldogs will be the #4 seed in the Region 3A tournament and will play Garretson on Tuesday, October 31st.
