The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team won their 10th match of the season on Thursday, September 14th. The Bulldogs traveled to Flandreau and defeated the Fliers in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-11, and 25-23.
Baltic had a fast start with a 5-1 run in the opening set. The Fliers tied the score 5-5, but Baltic went on a big run from there. The Bulldgs went on a 9-1 run for a 14-6 lead. They continued to lead 19-11 before taking the first set 25-18.
The Bulldogs carried the momentum from the end of the first set into the second set. They started on a 9-1 run and grew the lead to 17-3. Flandreau cut the lead to 19-10, but Baltic ended the second set on a 6-1 run for a 25-11 win.
Baltic had another 5-1 start in the third set. The grew the lead to 13-5 before Flandreau got on a run. The Fliers chipped away and got within a point 15-14. They eventually tied the score 19-19 and then took a 21-20 lead. After a 22-22 tie, Flandreau took the lead again 23-22. Baltic rallied to score the final three points for a 25-23 win.
