The Baltic Legion baseball team had their season come to an end in region tournament play on Wednesday, July 18th. They kept their season going with a 16-3 over Madison, but Volga got a 7-6 win to end the Baltic season.

Volga got two runs in the top of the first inning for an early 2-0 lead. They added another run in the top of the third extending the lead to 3-0. Baltic cut into the lead with a run in the bottom of the fourth. Volga went ahead 5-1 after two more runs in the fifth. Baltic rallied for three runs in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 5-4. After Volga got another run in the sixth, Baltic tied the game, 6-6, with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Volga retook the lead with a run in the seventh. Baltic got a runner on first with two outs in the bottom of the inning via a walk, but were unable to get the tying score.
Gunner Schultz had two hits and two RBIs. Beau Keith also had two hits, on a double. Jose Valadez added a single and an RBI. Riley Schutlz, Matt Muston, and Braxton Allen all had a hit. Tayden Hansen and Hunter Larson both added an RBI. Riley Dobbins pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed six earned runs on 11 hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Larson pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and walk with three strikeouts.
