River Dawgs Drop Two on Back-to-Back Days

The Baltic River Dawgs amateur baseball team dropped two games on back-to-back days.  Baltic lost to Garretson 7-2 on Saturday, June 17th and then lost to the Valley Rats on Sunday, June 18th.

Baltic broke a scoreless tie with a run in the top of the third.  Dalton Garbers had an RBI sacrifice fly to give the River Dawgs a 1-0 lead.  Garretson, however, used a six-run bottom of the fifth to take a 6-1 lead.  Matt White had an RBI double in the top of the eighth for Baltic.  Garretson got the run back in the bottom of the inning.

White had two hits, one a double, and an RBI.  Alex Haagenson, Riley Schultz, Garrett Stout, and Mitchell Peters all had one hit each.  Garbers finished with an RBI.  Garbers pitched five innings allowing six runs, none of them earned, on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts.  White pitched three innings and allowed an unearned run on two hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.
