Baltic Legion Falls Short in Madison

The Baltic Legion baseball team took a road loss, 8-5, in Madison on Wednesday, June 14th.

Hunter Larson drove home two runs with a single in the top of the first giving Baltic an early 2-0 lead.  Madison scored four times in the bottom of the first.  Madison would add another run in the bottom of the second to lead 5-2.  Larson had another RBI single in the top of the third to cut the lead to 5-3.  Madison got that run back in the bottom of the third.

Baltic pulled within one, 6-5, with two runs in the top of the fourth.  Two runs scored on a fly ball by Gunner Schultz.  Madison pushed the lead back to three, 8-5, with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Larson had two hits and three RBIs.  Schultz had a hit and two RBIs.  Tate Fuecht pitched three innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on three hits and seven walks with three strikeouts.  Larson also pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
