Allen O. Anderson, 79, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
He was born February 13, 1934 at Dell Rapids, SD to Orlando and Frances (Anderson) Anderson. He received his education in Moody County country schools and then started farming with his father. Allen married Carol Crisp on April 4, 1954 at Bethania Lutheran Church. When they were first married Allen did a lot of trapping and hunting and has continued to farm.
His wife preceded him in death on September 17, 2010. Allen enjoyed farming, raising cattle and his dogs. Allen is survived by two sons, Jeff (Sandy) Anderson and Brian (Betty) Anderson, both of Flandreau, four grandchildren, Abby, Jesse (Kari), Jeremy, Mitchell (Chelsey), one great-granddaughter Kaylie and one brother Virgil (Lorene), Dell Rapids. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Stordahl Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, Dell Rapids.
