Mike Dibbern, 56, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at his home in Trent, SD. Michael “Mike” Dibbern was born December 16, 1958 in Sioux Falls, SD to Richard and Alice (Anderson) Dibbern. He was raised in the Trent area and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1977. Mike moved to Rapid City and worked construction. He returned to Trent and worked for L.G. Everist in Dell Rapids and Viking Vans in Flandreau. Mike married Jan Birnbaum on April 26, 1986 in Flandreau, SD. He worked for Charlie Ryan Construction, Sioux Vocational in Sioux Falls, Dressen Trailers, Olsen Pest Control, and currently worked for Republic National Distribution. Mike was a member of the Trent Volunteer Fire Department and the Trent Town Council. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, golfing, gardening, old gospel and country music, and a good fire.
Mike is survived by his wife Jan, two sons, Caleb Dibbern, Trent, Tanner (Angelica) Dibbern, Egan, stepson Chad Hasvold, Sioux Falls, five grandchildren, Thomas Hasvold, Auston Erhmantraut, George Hasvold, Ella Dibbern, Xander Dibbern, his mother Alice, Sioux Falls, and two sisters, Kathleen Kennedy and Kimberlee (Mark) Olson, both of Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his father Richard.
Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Trent Baptist Church with burial in Riverview Cemetery, rural Trent. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
