Eugene Crosby was born on Aug. 10, 1946, at Madison to Galen and Eunice (Mehlum) Crosby. He grew up in Madison, where he graduated from Madison High School and attended General Beadle State College. He married Ruth Geraets on Nov. 7, 1970, at Sioux Falls. He worked for the city of Madison in the Electric Department for 35 years, retiring in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Madison; a son, Cam (Shelli) of Dell Rapids; a daughter, Carrie (Tony) Callies of Madison; six grandchildren; his father, Galen of Madison; and two sisters, Karen (Ken) Becker and Patricia (Jerry) Kreul, both of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Cheryl.
