Work on the Garfield Ave bridge by City Park is underway. The construction started on Tuesday, May 27th. Cramer and Associates, Inc., an Iowa-based company, is doing the construction work on the new bridge. Construction of the new bridge is expected to be completed in 2014. Cramer and Associates has 180 days from the start of the project to have the project completed. During the construction the road is closed and traffic is being routed to Highway 115.
The bid by Cramer and Associates for the project came in at just over $2.3 million, and the project is being overseen by the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
