The Kingsbury County Knights wrestling team took first place as a team at the Region 1B Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, February 17th in Gettysburg. The Knights finished with 177.0 points, just a half point ahead of Faulkton Area (176.5). Clark/Willow Lake finished third as a team with 148.0 points.
Cody Zell won the 120-pound division with four wins on the day. Gannon Gilligan took the top spot in the 126-pound class with two wins. Conner Giedd placed second in the 138-pound class with a 2-1 record. Connor Johnson finished second in the 215-pound division with a 2-1 record. Greyson Nielson was third with 132-pound class with three wins. Kaleb Johnson was also third win the 150-pound class with a 3-1 record. Breyten Johnson was fourth in the 190-pound class with a 2-2 record.
Caden Singrey (113) placed fifth with one win. Deion Harris (165) finished fifth with two wins. Marshall Holz (175) was also fifth with a 4-2 record. Chase Henriksen (106) finished sixth with one win. Donovan Sandven (144) had one win. Kahne Hanson (157) also took part in the tournament.
