Playing in their second straight road game on back-to-back nights, the De Smet Bulldogs earned a 54-39 win against the Deuel Cardinals on Tuesday, December 19th.
The Bulldogs went ahead in the first quarter and never trailed in the game. De Smet had an 18-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead to 34-19 by halftime. The Bulldogs built a lead of nearly 20 points early in the third quarter, but Deuel would not go away quietly. The Cardinals trailed 45-32 going into the final quarter.
Three players finished in double figures. Kadyn Fast had 12 points, four assists, and three steals. Tom Aughenbaugh finished with 10 points and four assists. Grant Wilkinson also had 10 points with four rebounds. Trace Van Regenmorter had eight points, 10 rebounds, and two steals. George Jensen added seven points and four rebounds. Britt Carlson had five points, five rebounds, and three steals.
