Seven Knight Wrestlers Going to State

The Kingsbury County Knights wrestling team finished second at the Region 1B wrestling tournament at Sioux Valley High School on Saturday, February 18th.  The Knights finished with 159.0 points.  Redfield took the top spot as a team with 165.5 points.

Seven wrestlers qualified for state individually by placing in the top four of their respective weight classes.  Gannon Gilligan won the 126-pound division with four wins.  Dylan Zell took first in the 145-pound class with a 4-0 record.  Greyson Nielson was second in the 120-pound class with a 2-1 record.  Cody Zell (113), Kaleb Johnson (132), and Connor Johnson (195) all placed third with 3-1 records.  Tucker Anderson (160) finished fourth with a 2-2 record.

Rogan Albrecht (106) and Breyten Johnson (170) both finished sixth with a 1-3 record.  Ethan Johnson (138) had a 1-2 record.  Deion Harris (182) finished 0-2.
