The St. Mary’s Cross Country team would travel up to White on Saturday. They competed and were quite successful in Deubrook area’s Don Ray Invite. Both the Cardinal Boys and Girls earned 2nd in White as teams. This of course being their second meet of the season, St. Mary’s took a large jump.
Girls

Just like last meet, Senior Cami Wolles led the way for the St. Mary’s varsity girls. Wolles would finish 6th place overall in a time of 22:40.94. Freshman Paige Deuter would also finish in the top-10, placing 9th with a time of 23:22.88. Just outside of the top-10 in 11th place, Senior Lucy Vargas would finish with a time of 24:16.84. In the junior varsity 3,000M, 7th Grader Adalyn Fiegen would capture the top spot with a time of 12:20.81
Boys

For the varsity boys, junior Matthew Heinemann took home 10th place and ran the fastest time for the Cardinals. He would finish with a time of 19:54.38. 8th Grader Cooper Libis finished just behind Heinemann in 11th place with a time of 19:55.59. Freshman Logan Robinson ran varsity for this meet, finishing 19th with a time of 21:04.38. Junior Kade Lutt would run a time of 24:51 to finish 36th overall. For junior varsity, 8th Grader Bronc Geraets came in 26th with a time of 13:30.12. Senior Lukas Gaul finished 29th in 13:36.59. Sophomore Elliot Bowers finished 37th in a time of 14:34.72, with 8th Grader Joseph Gams right behind him in 38th with a time of 14:35.91.
