The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal competitive cheer team participated in the Brookings Competitive Cheer Invite on Saturday, September 21st. Twenty-two teams took part in the event, and the Cardinals finished eighth overall. Of those 22 teams, only six of them were Class A schools.
The Cardinals finished with 224.5 points, which was second among the Class A schools. Sioux Valley had the top Class A score with 238 points. Dell Rapids finished with 198 points. The other Class A schools competing were Elkton-Lake Benton (189.5), Deubrook (182.5), and Wanger (159). Harrisburg place first among all the schools with 284.5 points.
