The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal cross country team will be sending seven runners to the state meet after a good day at the Region 2B meet in Arlington on Wednesday, October 11th. The entire girls team qualified after a Runner-Up finish with 27 points. The boys team had two individual qualifiers that placed in the top 20.
Elizabeth Vogel was fourth individually with a time of 20:46.98. Cami Wolles placed 10th in a time of 21:51.24. Madison Reiff was 13th with a time of 22:18.54. Lucy Vargas was 14th in 22:22.27, and Pagie Dueter (29th) finished in 24:18.10.
Matthew Heinemann and Camden Tebay will also compete at state. Heinemann had a seventh place finish in 19:12.02. Tebay placed 12th with a time of 19:38.10. Levi Gaul (36th) finished in 23:49.36.
The 2023 South Dakota State B Cross Country meet will be held at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls on Saturday, October 21st.
