The St Mary Cardinal girls cross country team captured the Region 2B title in Irene on Wednesday, October 15th. The Cardinals finished with a total of 22 team points. Centerville placed second with 29 points, and Arlington took third with 32 points. This is the second region title in school history, with the first one coming in 2009.
Cami Wolles finished seventh individually with a time of 22:06.56. Paige Deuter was eighth in a time of 22:14.33. Lucy Vargas placed 12th and completed in 22:56.69. Adalyn Fiegen took 14th in a time of 22:59.46.
All four will complete in the state meet. The 2025 State B Cross Country Meet will be held in Huron at Broadland Creek Golf Course on Saturday, October 25th.
