The St Mary Cardinal cross country team traveled north to Colman for the Colman-Egan Cross Country Invite on Wednesday, October 1st. The girls team had a third-place finish with 38 points. Mt Vernon/Plankinton won the girls team title with 23 points, and Deubrook Area finished second with 29 points. The Cardinal boys team finished tied for third with De Smet with 29 points. Mt Vernon/Plankinton also won the boys team title with 18 points. McCrossan was second at 21 points.
Paige Deuter placed 12th with a time of 22:29.90. Cami Wolles was right behind in 13th place and finished with a time of 22:39.63. Adalyn Fiegen took 18th in 23:16.93, and Lucy Vargas finished 26th in a time of 24:23.25.
Cooper Libis finished in the top 10, placing seventh, with a time of 19:03.79. Matthew Heinemann was 17th and completed in 20:22.08. Logan Robinson was 23rd with a time of 21:17.52. Kade Lutt (36th) had a time of 22:58.56. Bronc Geraets (47th) finished in 25:49.52, and Lukas Gaul (49th) completed in 26:40.33.
