The St Mary’s Cardinal cross country team had two meets within three days. They traveled to Arlington for the Arlington Invitational on Monday, September 15th. They then took part in the Freeman Flyer Invitational on Wednesday, September 17th.
All six varsity runners placed in the top 20 in Arlington. Matthew Heinemann had a fourth-place finish in a time of 19:37.38. Kade Lutt took 20th in a time of 24:34.04. Paige Deuter was fifth and finished in 22:59.84. Adalyn Fiegen was sixth in a time of 23:03.46. Cami Wolles placed eighth in 23:46.70. Lucy Vargas was 10th and completed in 24:12.92.
The girls team finished second in points with 15 at Freeman on Wednesday. The boys team finished fifth with 52 points. Wolles finished eighth with a time of 21:53.43. Deuter was 10th with a time of 22:15.15. Fiegen was 11th just seconds behind Deuter in a time of 22:21.66. Vargas took 20th in a time of 23:15.09. Heinemann had a 14th-place finish in 18:44.62. Cooper Libis was 16th finishing in 18:48.43. Logan Robinson (26th) had a time of 20:38.96.
