The St Mary Cardinal girls golf team captured their first ever state title at the 2025 South Dakota State B Girls Golf Tournament at Prairie Winds Golf Course in Watertown on Monday, June 2nd and Tuesday, June 3rd. The team of Isabella McNaughton, Allie Hansen, Sophia McNaughton, and Carley Roiger finished with a team score of 501, eight shots better than second-place Miller.
I. McNaughton took fourth place individually with a two-day score of 159, having rounds of 81 and 78. Hansen tied for seventh with a total score of 170, shooting rounds of 87 and 83. S. McNaughton had a score of 172, having a round of 89 on Monday and 83 on Tuesday. Roiger placed 26th overall with a score of 187. She had rounds of 96 and 91.
Trevon Beckman and Paxton Beckman represented the Cardinals boys team at the State B Boys Tournament at Cattail Crossing Golf Course, also in Watertown. T. Beckman had a two-day score of 161, shooting an 81 and then an 80. P. Beckman (T114th) had a score of 184, having a round of 86 and 98.
