The St Mary Cardinal track teams had a great day on the track at the Tom Main Track Meet in Chester on Saturday, April 26th. The girls took home the team title with 115 points. The boys team finished third with 83 points.
Lucy Vargas won the 3200m run with a time of 14:22.23. Maddyn LeBrun won the discus (112’11”) and won the javelin (111’8″). Reagan Griffin won the high jump with a leap of 4’7″ and finished third in the triple jump at 29’5″. The 4x200m relay team of Madala Hanson, Layla Hanson, Emersyn Herber, and Addison Libis won in 1:53.58. The 4x400m relay team of Herber, Libs, Cami Wolles, and L. Hanson also won with a time of 4:41.39. M. Hanson placed second in the 200m dash with a time of :26.81. Megan Geraets was second in the high jump at 4’7″. L. Hanson was second in the long jump with a jump of 16’0″.
The 4x400m relay team of Jaxon Baumberger, Thomas LaVoy, Jake Heinitz, and Logan Bauer took the top spot with a time of 3:41.39. Josh Liebl had a second place finish in the long jump with a jump of 18’7.5″. The 4x100m relay team of LaVoy, Heinitz, Lincoln LeBrun, and Bauer was second in :46.27. The 4x200m relay team of Heinitz, Baumberger, LaVoy, and Bauer was also second in 1:36.57. The sprint medley relay team of L. LeBrun, Heinitz, Bauer, and Jacob Flemmer placed second in 4:02.47. The 4x800m relay team of Matt Heinemann, Cooper Libis, Kade Lutt, and Flemmer placed third with a time of 9:23.95.
