St Mary Boys Finish Regular Season with Ninth Straight Win

The St Mary Cardinals ended the regular season with their ninth straight win against the Bridgewater-Emery Huskies on Friday, February 28th.  The Cardinals used a fourth-quarter run to help them to a 69-48 win.

St Mary built a good lead in the first half.  The Cardinals led 20-10 at the end of the first quarter and then extended the lead to 34-21 by halftime.  The Huskies made a run in the third quarter.  They cut the lead to 47-41 by the end of the third quarter.  St Mary stopped the rally and outscored Bridgewater-Emery 22-7 in the final quarter to pull away for the win.

The Cardinals shot 51% (28-55) from the field overall, 33% (8-24) from three-point area, and 5-8 from the free-throw line.  Bridgewater-Emery shot 38% (18-48) overall, 14% (1-7) on three-point attempts, and 79% (11-14) from the free-throw line.

Maverick LeBrun finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Trevon Beckman added 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Trimmier Hanson ended with 17 points and three assists.  Jaxon Baumberger had seven points and three rebounds.  Jake Kopsas also had seven points with two assists and two steals.
