The St Mary Cardinals remained unbeaten with another win on Thursday, January 9th. The Cardinals hosted the Estelline/Hendricks Redhawks and earned a 61-49 win.
Estelline/Hendricks held St Mary to just two points in the first four minutes of the game and led 5-2. The Cardinals then scored 17 over the next four minutes and took a 19-10 lead into the second quarter. St Mary extended that lead to 36-19 by halftime. The Redhawks did outscore the Cardinals in the third quarter, but just by two points, 16-14. St Mary led 50-35 going into the fourth quarter. Esetlline/Hendricks was only able to get the lead down to 12 points, 61-49, with 1:40 left in the game.
Trevon Beckman had 26 points, nine rebounds, five steals, and two assists. Maverick LeBrun had another double-double. He finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Trimmier Hanson had 18 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Jake Kopsas had four points and six rebounds.
