The St Mary Cardinal competitive cheer team performed at the 2024 South Dakota State A Festival in Rapid City on Friday, October 25th. Twenty teams competed in the event between large and small teams.
The Cardinals finished 6th overall with 232.5 points. That was fourth amongst large teams. Sioux Valley placed first overall with 267.0 points. Wolsey-Wessington was second with 250.5 points. Parkston took third at 249.5 points. Winner Area placed fourth with 246.5 points, and Dell Rapids finished fifth with 238.0 points.
Reagan Griffin and Stephenie Geraets both received All-State honors.
