Lucas Flemmer took home the State B Track MVP from the state track meet, and the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals track team finished well from Sioux Falls Thursday, May23rd through Saturday, May 25th. The boys team finished sixth overall with a score of 36.5 points.
Flemmer won the 100m dash in a time of :10.85, won the 200m dash in :22.81, and won the 400m dash in :50.10. Jaxon Baumberger placed seventh in the high jump with a jump of 5’10”. The 4x100m relay team of Thomas LaVoy, Logan Bauer, Jake Heinitz, and Flemmer finished fourth in :45.05.
Maddyn LeBrun finished second in the javelin with a throw of 117’2″. Madala Hanson finished sixth in the 200m dash with a time of :27.46. Jaycee Tebay placed eighth in the discus with a throw of 120’8″. The 4x200m relay team of Addison Libbis, Hanson, LeBrun, and Brianna Griffin finished seventh in 1:52.26.
