The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals track team competed in the Dakota Valley Conference meet on Thursday, May 16th. The girls team finished fifth with 72 points. The boys team placed fourth with 81 points.
Maddyn LeBrun won the javelin with a throw of 108’5″ and finished third in the discus. Elizabeth Vogel was second in the 3200m run. Jaycee Tebay finished second in the discus and fifth in the javelin. Brianna Griffin placed third in the 100m dahs and 200m dash. Lucy Vargas finished third in the 3200m run. Paige Deuter was fifth in the 1600m run. The 4x400m relay team finished fourth.
Lucas Flemmer won the 100m dash in a time of :11.18, won the 200m dash in :22.73, and won the 400m dash in :50.81. Camden Tebay won the 3200m run in a time of 11:07.43. Jaxon Baumberger finished fourth in the high jump. Jacob Flemmer placed fifth in the 800m run. The 4x400m relay team had a third place finish. The 4x100m and 4x200m relay teams both placed fourth.
