St Mary Boys Remain Perfect at Home

The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal boys remained unbeaten at home after an 80-49 win over the Arlington Cardinals on Monday, February 5th.

For a quarter and a half, Arlington kept close with St Mary.  St Mary led by just six points, 23-17, at the end of the first quarter.  The lead remained six points, 36-28, late into the second quarter.  St Mary then closed out the first half on a 7-0 run for a 43-28 lead.  They extended that lead to 64-39 after a big third quarter.

St Mary shot 48% (31-64) overall in the game, 44% (11-25) from three-point area, and 64% (7-11) from the free-throw line.  Arlington shot 43% (20-47) from the field overall, 35% (6-17) on three-point shots, and 71% (5-7) from the free-throw line.

Three players finished in double figures.  Maverick LeBrun had 26 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Trevon Beckman had 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Trimmier Hanson added 17 points, five assists, and three steals.  Lucas Flemmer ended with eight points and four rebounds.  Lincoln LeBrun had seven points, four steals, and two assists.
