The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal volleyball team earned a five-set win in Rutland against the Oldham-Ramona/Rutland Raiders on Tuesday, August 29th.
The Raiders took the first match by a score of 25-16. St Mary evened the match with a 25-22 win in the second set. The Cardinals then posted a big win in the third set, 25-3, and looked to use the momentum to win the match in the fourth set. The Raiders, however, forced a fifth set after an extra time, 29-27 victory. In the fifth and final set, the Cardinals won 15-7 to take the match.
Brianna Griffin finished with 20 kills. Megan Geraets had 16 kills along with two blocks. Jaycee Tebay added five kills, five ace serves, and 25 digs. Reagan Griffin had 28 digs and eight set assists. Jodie Klein finished with 26 digs. Brianna Lindeman had 22 set assists and seven ace serves. Emersyn Herber added six ace serves and two blocks.
