The Dell Rapids Quarrier wrestling team hosted their annual “Top of the Rock” tournament to start the 2022 season on Saturday, December 3rd. Dell Rapids finished seventh with a total of 67 points.
Camden Tebay won the 106B weight class with a 2-0 record. John Mortrude (132) and Quinn Carr (195) both placed second with a 2-1 record. Carson Roach (145) finished third with a 3-1 record. Breck Evans (120) and Aiden Geraets (220) finished fourth with a 1-2 records.
Cale Roach (106) and Gabe Clark (152) both finished 1-2. Zach Grochow (113), Kane Murphy (138), Charlie Prasek (145), Brandon Schmidt (195), and Charlie Becker (285) were all 0-2.
The girls team finished second with 60 points. Hannah Jensen (1-1) and Rylee Bird (2-1) both had second place finishes. Bailey Credeur (2-1) finished third. Ila Hansen (1-2) had a fourth place finish.
Adeline Hansen, Chloe Staskwicz, Cora Augstad, and Mikayla Hight all were 0-2 on the day.
