The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal volleyball team suffered a road loss at Elkton against the Elkton-Lake Benton Elks on Tuesday, October 18th.
The two teams battled to a close first set that needed an extra point. The Elks won the set by a score of 26-24. Elkton-Lake Benton would then win the next two sets by a little wider margin. The Elks took the second set 25-19 and then won the third set 25-15.
Ella Griffin had 14 kills in the match. Maya Heinitz had nine kills, nine digs, and an ace serve. Brianna Griffin finished with four kills, two blocks, and two ace serves. Brianna Lindeman had 25 set assists, 11 digs, an ace, and a block. Josie Baumberger had 10 digs, Madala Hanson had eight, and Whitney Warwick added five digs. Jaycee Tebay finished with three blocks, and Megan Geraets had a kill and a block.
