The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal cross country team had their first meet of the season on Saturday, August 27th at the Don Ray Invite hosted by Deubrook High School. The girls team finished eighth as a team with 56 points. The boys varsity team did not register a team score.
Elizabeth Vogel had a sixth place finish individually with a time of 21:51.75. Cami Wolles (26th) finished in 24:01.94. Madison Reiff (29th) had a time of 29.30.41. Rebecca Heinemann (31st) finished with a time of 24:59.25. Lucy Vargas (35th) had a time of 25:13.50.
For the boys team, Camden Tebay (26th) finished with a time of 21:36.62, and Gabe Nelson (46th) had a time of 28:39.15.
The Cardinals will be at the McCook Central/Montrose Invite in Salem on Tuesday, August 30th.
