Watchdog Softball Takes Win over Lennox

The Beresford Watchdog softball team took a 9-4 win over the Lennox Orioles at home on Tuesday, April 29th.

Lennox took an early lead in the top of the first with two runs.  Beresford had a three-run bottom of the second to take a 3-2 lead.  They would not lose the lead the rest of the game.  After a scoreless third inning the Watchdogs added to their lead with a two-run fourth inning.  Lennox scored one time in the top of the fifth, but the Watchdogs responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning to make the score 8-3.  Beresford added one more run in the sixth.  Lennox got their final run in the top of the seventh.

Capri Mullinix had two doubles with three RBIs.  Brynlee Mohning added a single and a double with two RBIs.  Harley Koth finished with two singles and an RBI.  Ivy Keiser ended with two hits, including a double.  Reese Olson had a home run and an RBI.  Keely Merrigan had a double, and Kate Degen had a single.  Rylie Laurvick pitched all seven innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on nine hits with two walks with nine strikeouts.
