Rams Place Sixth at Elk Point-Jefferson Invite, Girls Wrestle in Canton

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Rams wrestling team took sixth at the Elk Point-Jefferson Invitational on Saturday, December 21st.  The Rams finished with 114.0 points.  Bon Homme/Avon won the team title.  Canton was second, and Parkston was third.

Dexton Miler won the 132-pound weight clas with three wins.  Owen Serck finished second in the 113-pound class with a 2-1 record.  Liam Moumy (106) had a fourth place finish with a 3-2 record.  Bennett Farley (120) also finished fourth with a 2-2 record.  Karzen Sommervold (150) was fourth with a 2-2 record.  Kanin Klentz (144) took fifth with a 3-2 record.  Caden SSchurch (157) finished sixth with a 1-3 record.

Corbin Buum (165) and Isaac Boden (175) both competed in the tournament as well.

The Rams girls wrestling team was in Canton for the “Battle for the Paddle” tournament also on Saturday.  Reese Olson took second with three wins on the day, all by pins.  Lillie Boden finished 0-2 in her varsity bracket.
