The Beresford Watchdogs had their regular season end at home against the Dell Rapids Quarriers on Tuesday, October 29th. The Quarriers won in straight sets by scores of 25-11, 25-9, and 25-17.
After an early 3-3 tie to start the first set, Dell Rapids went on a 9-4 run for a 12-7 advantage. They continued their run to extend the lead to 19-9 and then 22-11 before winning 25-11. The Quarries started the second set with a 4-1 run. Beresford stayed within four points, 9-5, but Dell Rapids went on a 5-0 run for a 14-5 lead. They extended the lead to 19-7 and took the win 25-9. Dell Rapids started the third set with another 4-1 lead. The Watchdogs got within a point at 9-8 and again at 12-11. The Quarriers then went on a 9-4 run to push the lead to 21-15 before winning the match with a 25-17 final score.
