The Beresford Watchdog football team finished 2-7 a year ago, but they return a strong core group of players for 2024. The Watchdogs return nine letter winners, seven offensive starters, and six defensive starters.
Seniors Cooper Nelson, Joe Sharpe, Kohen Schurch, Jace Adams, and Jax Fickbohm return to the lineup this season. They will be joined by juniors Malachi James and Tiegen Nyhaug and sophomore Ashton Oberle who also started last season.
Head coach Scott Ebert said that the keys to a successful season this year will be to stay healthy, strive to get better every week, be physical and tough, and respond to adversity.
The Watchdogs travel to Baltic to start the season on Friday, August 23rd.
