Post 72 Jr Legion lost their first game of the Region 2B tournament in Beresford on Monday, July 29th. Lennox overcame an early lead by Post 72 to take the win 6-2.
Post 72 scored the first two runs of the game in the bottom of the first inning, but those were the only two runs they would get. Lennox took the lead with three runs in the top of the third. They added two more in the fourth and then one more in the top of the sixth for the win.
Alec Austin had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. Tucker Martz also had two hits. Ashton Oberle, Noah Schoenfelder, Evan Haak, and Tommy Walth all had one single each. Kasen Voss pitched five innings and allowed five runs, three earned, on five hits and five walks with seven strikeouts. Ethan Bobzin pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed an earned run on a three hits with one strikeout. Aiden Bobzin pitched one out, which was a strikeout.
