Dakota Valley Defeats Black Sox in Baseball Action

Dakota Valley scored 10 straight runs in their 13-3 win over the Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox on Monday, April 8th.

The Panthers scored a single run in both the first and second inning.  They added two more runs in the bottom of the third.  The big blow came in the bottom of the fourth when Dakota Valley scored six times for a 10-0 lead.

Jace Adams had a two-run single for the Black Sox in the top of the fifth inning.  Robert Watkins added an RBI single in the top of the sixth to make the score 10-3.  Dakota Valley, however, scored three times in the bottom of the sixth to end the game on the 10-run rule.

Adams had a single and two RBIs.  Watkins added a single and RBI.  Ethan Bovill, Cooper Nelson, and Dominic Van Egdom all had one hit each.  Landen Kroger pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed four runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk with a strikeout.  Bovill pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on seven hits and a walk with one strikeout.  Joseph Anderson threw 1 1/3 innings giving up three earned runs on four hits and a walk.
