Black Sox 16U Finishes Regular Season with Win

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox 16U baseball team ended their regular season with a 19-7 win over Centerville on Tuesday, July 18th.

The Black Sox scored four runs in the top of the first inning, but Centerville was able to tie the game 4-4 by the end of the third inning.  After a scoreless fourth inning, the Black Sox offense exploded for 15 straight runs.  They scored eight in the fifth inning and seven more in the sixth.  Centerville got three runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Ethan Bovill had three hits, one a double, and four RBIs.  Tommy Walth finished with two hits.  Kasen Voss had a double and three RBIs.  Evan Haak also had a double with two RBIs.  Espyn Klungseth had a hit and an RBI.  Ashton Oberle ended with a triple.  Jacob Cole had two RBIs.  Evan Brown, Cameron Mullinix, Dillon Davidson, and Jax Wurth all had an RBI.

Bovill pitched three innings and allowed four runs, all unearned, on two hits and three walks with four strikeouts.  Haak pitched two innings and allowed three earned runs on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts.  Oberle pitched one inning and allowed a hit.
