Ten-Run Inning Leads BAH 14U to Victory

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson 14U Black Sox used a 10-run inning to lead them to a 13-7 victory over Centerville at home on Monday, June 26th.

Centerville did have a lead for two and half innings.  They scored three runs in the top of the first inning.  The Black Sox got one run back in the bottom of the first.  Centerville added another run in the top of the third to lead 4-1.  BAH then scored 11 straight runs, 10 in the bottom of the third and another in the bottom of the fourth for a 12-4 lead.

Centerville tried to mount a rally by scoring two runs in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to 12-6.  The Black Sox picked up another run in the bottom of the sixth.  Centerville scored just one run in the top of the seventh.

Evan Haak had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.  Ashton Oberle also had two hits, including a double, and an RBI.  Ian Henderson finished with a double and three RBIs.  Kasen Voss and Payden Hoffman both had a single and two RBIs.  Cameron Mullinix had a hit and an RBI.  Evan Dressen and Jackson Meyer each had a hit.  Haak pitched five innings and allowed six earned runs on five hits and four walks with 10 strikeouts.  Hoffman pitched two innings and allowed an unearned run on two hits and five strikeouts.
