Dakota Valley Rallies Past BAH 14U

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson 14U Black Sox held a 4-1 lead at one point in the game, but Dakota Valley rallied for a 7-5 victory on Tuesday, June 20th.

Evan Haak had an RBI single in the top of the first to give the Black Sox an early 1-0 lead.  Dakota Valley tied the game with a run in the bottom of the first.  Beresford/Alcester-Hudson scored three times in the top of the second.  Jackson Meyer had an RBI single, and then Cameron Mullinix brought home two with a single.  Dakota Valley closed the gap, 4-3, with two runs in the bottom of the second.  They would tie the game, 4-4, with a run in the bottom of the third.

The game remained tied 4-4 until the bottom of the fifth.  With two outs in their half of the inning, Dakota Valley scored three times for a 7-4 advantage.  Evan Dressen had an RBI single in the top of the seventh for the Black Sox.

Haak had four hits and an RBI.  Mullinix had two singles and two RBIs.  Meyer and Dressen both had a hit and an RBI.  Ashton Oberle added two doubles.  Ian Henderson also had a single.  Haak pitched four innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.  Oberle pitched two innings and allowed an earned run on three hits with two strikeouts.
